HSI Forum: Promoting Latiné Excellence and Servingness

In Fall 2024, UCSB hosted its inaugural HSI Forum to publicly launch the university’s vision and programming as a Hispanic-Serving Institution. The event marked the introduction of the inaugural HSI Director and brought together campus and community members to reflect on UCSB’s journey toward becoming an HSI. The forum featured powerful alumni reflections, showcased HSI grant-funded initiatives, and highlighted a dynamic faculty-student panel focused on culturally responsive servingness. This event laid the foundation for future programming and deeper institutional engagement with UCSB’s HSI mission.
